Q-MOD
The situation
You have a resistance welding system (50 / 60Hz alternating current, 3-phase direct current, medium frequency or capacitor discharge) for
• Spot welding,
• projection welding,
• Seam welding.
Occasionally there are incorrect welding results. The existing welding control offers no functions to monitor the welding process. Systematic error analysis is difficult with the given means. The customer demands more process transparency and continuous process documentation.
Your requirements
The existing welding machine is to be equipped with process monitoring equipment. The system to be installed should be usable for all your welding machines regardless of the type of control. An alarm message should appear if the welds are faulty. The measurement curves should be visualized on standard hardware and the measured data should be archived centrally. The solution must be inexpensive, easy to install, and easy to use.
Our offer
The Q-MOD is a mobile module for the process monitoring of resistance welding machines. Two measurement variables can be monitored simultaneously with one module. Two Q-MODS can be interconnected in master / slave mode and thus 4 measured variables can be monitored simultaneously. The module can process the following input signals:
- Rogowski signal (secondary current)
- 0-10V analog signal (primary current, voltage, pressure, force etc.)
- 5V TTL signal (path)
The Q-MOD has a LAN interface. Via this interface, the module can be connected to a higher-level PC via Ethernet. The software for configuration and data reading is installed on the Q-MOD itself. It is operated and configured using a PC or laptop, on which only a browser and an FTP server need to be installed.
